Sad Day, Funny Line
Today I had a fight with my parents so, I was sad almost the whole day. After this fight I had as I think alot, I was getting angry and started having stupid bad thoughts. I had to escape these thoughts so, I wanted to go out and cool down. I texted my friend then we went out. And yeah..it rained heavily, with a little bit of hail, so the weather was all soothing and calming. As I stepped out the rain stopped and the cold breaze was gushing by, still I was sad. I went upto the car, and we started for Great India Place(GIP as we call it) in Noida, best mall there. As the wheels came to a halt, we opened the door. Children(beggars) started asking, almost demanding, for money. Earlier it was done with the name of God, but to our astonishment the little girl said,” Bhaiya, de do, aapko Kareena mileegi.”. That the brought me the first smile that day after all the sadness and anger. It was funny and innocent. She kept on bugging me with this phrase, but I was just smiling and walking to the exit. I took out the wallet and said,” Yeh tum dono ke liye hai” (as there were two little girls, one after me the other after my friend) and gave Rs. 10 in her brown dirty hand. Still smilling as I walked past her, she replied,” Main nahi dungi” and started jumping.
After that I was followed many other child beggars but as I am not a promoter of beggary I didn’t subside their demands. But that brought me a thought that even beggary has evoled. My commercialisation and advertising of Bollywood films has even affected beggary. That was biggest example. Also as many other fields of employment had cuts but beggary is still unaffected and ever growing. It’s sad that we see these little naked feets on the streets begging in desperation- desperation of money, food , shelter that our biggest democratic government never provided, never had a concern for, never cared.
It was indeed a sad day.
